Takafumi FUJITA

Besides recording works of TV and cinema music, he was directing for numerous musical TV programs and music festivals and corroborated over 1800 concerts.  His compositions and arrangements more than 350 works are played by Das Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg, Prague Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra, Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, Siena Wind Orchestra and so on.  On the other hand, he served as a percussion player (Guest Percussionist with the Nagoya Philharmonic and Principal Timpanist of the Chubu Philharmonic) for 14 years.
 
The CD, Spring Music Festival in Sapporo Concert Hall “Kitara”, for tribute to Akira Ifukube / Takafumi Fujita, conductor with the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra has been selected both “Recommended Albums” and “the best recording” by "Record Geijutsu (Art of records)" magazine and recorded the Best Sellers by both Amazon and Tower records.
 
His hometown, Obihiro city, Hokkaido built the sheet music copper monument of his composition, “the land of light and wind” and he serves as Sightseeing ambassador of Tokachi Obihiro city, Hokkaido.
 
Takafumi became Director of Wako Civic Culture Center, in Saitama in 2012 and was appointed Special Advisor to the President (Composition and Conductor department) at Tokyo College of Music in 2016.

Andererseits verfügt er auch über 14 Jahre Erfahrung als Pauke und Schlagzeuger in Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra und Chubu Philnarmonic Orchestra.
 
Die CD von Takafumi Fujita und das Sapporo Symphony Orchestra "Akira Ifukube Tribute Spring Music Festival" wurde die Aufnahmekunst „The Record Geijutsu Special Edition / Excellent Recording" ausgewählt und verzeichneten die Top-Verkäufe von Amazon und Tower Records.
 
In seiner Heimatstadt Obihiro, Hokkaido, wurde ein Kupferplatten-Denkmal zusammen mit seiner eigenen Komposition "Das Land des Lichts und des Windes" errichtet, und er diente als Tourismusbotschafter von Hokkaido Tokachi.
 
2012 wurde er als Direktor des „Wako Citizens' Culture Center“ eingeladen.
Seit 2016 wird er als Speziell ernannter Assistent des Präsidenten von Tokyo College of Music (Kompositions- und Dirigiermajor) ernannt.
