Toshinobu Nagamine is Professor of Teacher Education at the Faculty of International Studies, Ryukoku University, and serves as the Vice Director of the Teacher Education Center. His research interests include applied phonetics, foreign language education policy, language teacher cognition and emotions, reflective practice, and teacher education and development. He is the Chair and SIG Journal Chief Editor of the JACET SIG on Language Teacher Cognition. With over 30 years of experience in martial arts, he has gained insights into its effects on character development. He is hence actively involved as the head instructor of the Osaka Katano Dojo in the International Karate Organization World Kyokushin Kaikan (President: Ryuko Take).
