© 2019 Associazione Geotecnica Italiana, Rome, Italy. As part of the LEAP Project, three centrifuge tests were carried out in the facilities of DPRI at Kyoto University. The experiment aims to simulate the dynamic response of a uniform-density sloping deposit of clean sand, subjected to a ramped sinusoidal wave; this paper introduces specific details of the model preparation, testing procedures, and the achieved response. Additionally, a brief discussion related to the median values and variability of the relative density (Dr), and the peak ground acceleration (PGA) is presented, because these were identified as the “key parameters” for the estimation of the horizontal surface displacement due to lateral spreading (Ux). As an attempt of the sensitivity analysis, a series of Monte Carlo simulations were developed in order to analyze the sensitivity in the estimation of Ux under the variabil-ityofthekeyparameters.
