Profile

I am a geneticist who has been focusing on chromosome dynamics during meiosis in fission yeast at Osaka University and C. elegans at Harvard Medical School. Especially I found a multi-nuclease complex (SHURIKEN/Swiss army knife) required for Holliday junction resolution during meiotic recombination. Now I am interested in how SHRUNKEN and other factors contribute to regulate a number and distribution of crossover recombination in C. elegans meiosis.
