Research Introduction
I primarily conduct research in the fields of neurosurgery and biomedical engineering. My work focuses on the development of techniques for brain cooling (to mitigate neural damage) and high-precision sensing technologies to capture diverse aspects of brain activity. These efforts hold potential for improving treatments for conditions such as epilepsy and brain injuries, as well as informing new rehabilitation approaches.
In addition, I am exploring implantable devices for brain and body applications. By integrating both traditional and cutting-edge methodologies, I strive to establish more efficient and effective treatment options. My research activities also involve clinical neurophysiology and brain–machine interfaces (BMI), which require advanced signal acquisition and processing to assess and interpret complex biological signals.
Collaboration and a broad perspective are central to my research philosophy. While embracing novel ideas, I also value established methods and insights, seeking a well-rounded approach to advance our understanding of the brain and improve patient care.
