yanagisawa takufumi

Takufumi Yanagisawa is a Professor in the Department of Neuroinformatics and a neurosurgeon (MD-Ph.D) in Department of Neurosurgery at Osaka University. Prior to joining the institute, he was a Lecturer in the Endowed Research Division of Clinical Neuroengineering at Osaka University from 2016-2018. He received a PhD in Neurosurgery from Osaka University in 2009, and was a postdoctoral researcher at Osaka University from 2009–2012. Then, he was an Assistant Professor in Division of Functional Diagnostic Science Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University from 2012-2016. He received a Young Scientists’ Prize from MEXT Japan in 2013. Yanagisawa’s research is on clinical neurophysiology and clinical application of Brain-Machine Interface and neurofeedback, which include the analysis of intracranial signals implanted in human patients. He is particularly interested in decoding and control of cortical information using a big data of brain signals and human behavior.
