This paper presents a method for authoring of recorded physics-based simulation including editing of haptic data through interactive simulation Edited haptic data is intended to be used for simulator-based self-learning of example surgical procedures made by medical teachers. Existing methods have a trade-off between interactivity of editing and flexibility of playback of a past simulation. The trade-off is addressed in the proposed method.
