2015年8月、文部科学省編集の高校保健副教材『健康な生活を送るために』に、「妊娠のしやすさ」の加齢による減少を誇張したグラフが掲載された。本稿では、この事件の経過と、このグラフの元となった研究について、解説と評価をおこなう。また、科学的研究への信頼と男女平等 (男女共同参画基本計画) に関して、この事件からえられる教訓を述べる。
