The materials development module is a practical and hands-on course for teachers wishing to learn more about how to select, adapt and design materials to use in the language learning class. Materials are the practical and day-to-day resources that we use to facilitate learning, and yet there are many hidden political issues behind materials-choices too. In this course, we will look at the ‘hidden curriculum’ behind the materials we choose for our learners, as well as looking at more immediate issues such as materials evaluation and key principles for creating our own materials.
