Professional in environmental engineering with extensive experience in land, water and sanitation. Currently employed at UNU-IAS as a Research Fellow for the Water for Sustainable Development project. My research and teaching interests include decentralized wastewater management, environmental monitoring and integrated water resources management.

Prior to joining UNU-IAS, I worked as a Senior Research Specialist for the “Sustainable Decentralized Wastewater Management in Developing Countries” project, supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, where, I contributed to a wide range of collaborative research projects focused on innovative technology development and integrated management systems for sustainable sanitation in Southeast Asia. While working at AIT, I had also served as affiliated faculty (April 2016 to December 2017) and severed as committee member in master thesis exam.

I have working experience of postdoc researcher at the International Research Center for River Basin Environment (ICRE), University of Yamanashi, Japan; as a researcher/director at the Center of Research for Environment Energy and Water (CREEW), Nepal; and as a water monitoring expert at the Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Management Board (KVWSMB), Nepal. I have authored/co-authored dozens of papers appearing in international refereed journals and proceedings.
