To investigate the cyclic behavior of unsaturated soil, a series of cyclic triaxial tests and numerical simulations were performed. The tests results indicated that the liquefaction would occur if the suction value before cyclic loading was small. This tendency was well reproduced by the numerical simulations using the conventional elasto-plastic constitutive model proposed for unsaturated soil.
