An accurate Heading Control System (HCS) is required for vessels engaged in offshore support operations or ocean observation. The function of the Track Control System (TCS) is also useful to carry out the automatic navigation along the survey line exactly for observation. We propose a new concept of the HCS that can be utilized to realize the TCS feature. We focus to two topics
