〈概要〉ジャニーズアイドル/ジャニーズJr.にかんする日本と台湾のファンダムを比較した論文です。
Since the 2000s, the global spread of K-POP culture has demonstrated remarkable progress in ICT technology. Moreover, it has encouraged transnational/cultural fans’ practices and networking and removed various barriers, such as language, time difference, or cultural customs. However, previous studies lacked the empirical analysis or perspective of comparing the practices of "domestic/overseas fans."
Therefore, this study focused on a Japanese boyband, Johnny’s idol, and Japanese/Taiwanese fans and compared them to analyze fan activities in the online space through a semi-structured interview method. The survey results revealed that the lifting of the ban on the Internet makes "overseas fans" reflexively aware of the difference from "domestic fans." In addition, we found that the commonality of each fan is the awareness of "contribution (Kouken)" to their Idol (TANTOU) member or groups, and the self-efficacy surrounding it. Accordingly, we emphasize the introduction of the index of self-efficacy in fan studies that has presented frameworks such as pleasure, sense of belonging, and "production (labor)/consumption(leisure)" in the past.
