This research focuses on the new technology of GIS (the geographic information system) in the local government.<BR> The limitation of GIS is seemed to be expensive and difficult to operate in practice. In order to utilize GIS more widely, we try to find the easy and econ omy way of operation, and the way to utilize the ready made map data.<BR> Then it is concluded that GIS, although it is said that there is no easy way of the practical use, shows the various possibility and utility in our study.
