This paper deals with an acute problem in many of aging societies: the growing population of elderly is not proportionally matched by the increasing number of care takers, causing the so-called 'care deficit'. Intriguingly, a relatively weak welfare regime tends to open up its labour market in care sector, resulting in the increase of foreign care workers, mostly female, which in turn leads to a significant social transformation of 'household'.
