Characteristics of bubble and turbulence in oscillated bubbly flow were measured experimentally. In the gas phase, the bubble size, bubble size distribution, bubble velocity, and spatially averaged void fraction were measured by a newly developed hybrid image processing based on binary and two dimensional gaussian template. In the liquid phase, the vertical profile of turbulent characteristics was measured by using Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter (ADV). The effects of bubble-turbulence interactions were discussed through the gas and liquid phase analysis. The mean bubble rise velocity was reduced owing to the turbulence effects, and the vertical profile of rms value of liquid phase velocity has similar shape to that of oscillating grid generated turbulence without bubbles.
