Preparation of optically pure bis(trifluoromethyl)alkanediols through lipase-catalyzedhydrolysis of corresponding diacetates has been demonstrated. Using optically active bis (trifluormethyl) -alkanediols as starting materials, synthesis of novel dimer type AFCLs has been progressed.
