The purpose of this study was to examine the contents of psychology taught as liberal arts exclusively in departments of engineering by analyzing their syllabi. The main contents of psychology taught as specialized subjects were sensation/perception, physiological psychology, memory, and language/thinking. The reason was probably that the reductionistic thinking and the interests in making products of engineering students were taken into consideration by their teachers.
