本稿の目的は，開かれた学校づくりにおけるシティズンシップ教育の意義について考察していくことである．シティズンシップ教育は近年，生徒が将来，市民としての十分な役割を果たせるようにするために学校教育などで導入されており，代表的な取り組みとしてボランティア活動等の体験活動がある．秋田県立秋田西高等学校と秋田県立湯沢翔北高等学校の二つの学校において，生徒会・クラブ活動に取り組んでいる生徒に焦点を当て，それらの活動に関する調査を行った．生徒は生徒会・クラブ活動を通して，コミュニケーション能力，問題解決能力，責任感等の社会で必要な能力を獲得していた．The purpose of this paper is to clarify thesignificance of the citizenship education in termof schools open to the community. The citizenshipeducation is introduced by school education to letthe students play a role as a citizen in the future.For example, the activity such as a volunteer job isincluded in it. This time, the author focused on the studentswho joined the student council or the club activity inAkita Nishi high school and Yuzawa Shouhoku highschool and surveyed what they learned from thestudent council or the club activity. The studentsacquired the ability needed as a society membersuch as communication skill, problem solvingpowers, responsibility.
