For developing information systems, how to acquire user requirements and how to model those are important issues. In this paper, to acquire user requirement effectively, the word-based model which is obtained by abstracting and modeling of the word definition in Lyee is proposed. Lyee (Governmental Methodology for Software Providence) is a software development methodology based on human thinking processes. In Lyee, since software is defined based on words, it might be possible to be designed and developed by the end-user. Additionally, automatic coding has been realized. Using the word-based model, we also proposed a requirement acquisition method. By applying a demand made to the proposed acquisition method by a medical doctor without any experience of system developing, we confirmed that acquisition of the requirement can be realized with the model.
