To aim for effective passage time and fuel consumption with safe navigation, we need to construct the weather routing system which is the optimum navigation system integrated by a variety of numerical models. We have constructed the basis of weather and wave global forecast system as one of basic studies of weather and ocean-phenomena global forecast models which are the weather routing system components. The weather and wave global forecast models have calculated. In spite of low resolution models, there is some possibility that the wave model forecast for about three days in our study can offer useful weather and ocean-phenomena information for navigation. However, there are some significant differences between the wave model results using our wind forecast data and those using wind reanalysis data in some offshore regions such as eastern offshore regions of Japan and western shore regions of Middle and South America.
