Katuhiro Maki

Katuhiro Maki is an expert researcher at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT). He received B.E. degree in electrical engineering from Hosei university in March 1995, M.S. degree in information science from Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in March 1997, and Ph.D degree in science from Tokyo Institute of Technology in March 2000. From April 2000 to March 2002, He was a post-doctoral fellow at Doshisha university. From April 2002 to March 2010, he worked at NTT Communication Science Laboratories, first as research associate and later as research specialist. His research interests include computational modeling of auditory system, auditory neurophysiology, and 3D audio. He is a member of the Acoustical Society of Japan (ASJ), the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), the Japan Neuroscience Society, the Association for Research in Otolaryngology (ARO).
