To understand social behavior and stress, we study neuropeptide-producing neurons such as orexin and oxytocin in the hypothalamus. We unravel complex physiological functions by manipulating and recording neural circuit-specific activity using a combination of viral vectors and transgenic animals. Recently, I also create new molecular tools to challenge existing problems from a different route.
