She researches using questionnaires and biomarkers to investigate the causes of mental health problems and improve mental health from psychology and neuroscience.
The main research topics are as follows;
- The relationship between psychological indicators and biomarkers related to mental health
- The effects of lifestyle interventions on biomarkers and subjective indicators about mental health and neuroscience
- Individual differences in biomarker, cognitive and psychological indicators of disease risk factors, and brain morphology

After the Great East Japan Earthquake, she has conducted a study of lifestyle interventions to reduce stress in people living in coastal areas of Miyagi Prefecture.
Currently, in addition to the above research themes, she is also conducting
1) The psychological changes in postpartum women and the psychological impact of lifestyle interventions on their children.
2) The associations among social isolation, psychosocial factors, and biological factors.
She is interested in that, but she is also interested in a wide variety of other things.
