Masahide Ito

He received the BE, ME, and PhD degrees in Information Science and Technology from Aichi Prefectural University, Japan, in 2002, 2004, and 2008, respectively.

He is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Information Science and Technology, Aichi Prefectural University (APU).

Before moving to APU, he worked at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Seikei University.  He was a Research Associate from May 2007 to September 2008 and an Assistant Professor from September 2008 to March 2013, respectively.  Since April 2013, in APU, he was an Assistant Professor until March 2015 and then an Senior Assistant Professor until March 2020.

From April to June 2007, he was a Visiting Collaborative Researcher at Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Aichi Prefectural University; during 10 months from May 2016 to March 2017, he was a Visiting Researcher in the Discrete Technology & Production Automation (DTPA), ENgineering and TEchnology institute Groningen (ENTEG), University of Groningen. 

His research interests include visual feedback control of robotic systems and nonlinear control for underactuated systems. He is a member of the IEEE, SICE, ISCIE, RSJ, IEEJ, and RoboCup Japanese National Committee.
